It's definitely Groundhog Day in late October as the Rays lost their third straight one-run game in this series and the third time a big late-inning hit won it for the Padres, once again off
Luke Little. This time it was former Ray Elijah Green delivering the dagger, a 3-run homer in the 6th to break a 2-2 tie. Like Game 2 the Rays got back within one on a homer (this time from
Jose Pino) but also like Game 2 (and Game 1) it wasn't enough.
Benjamin Buckman will be going tomorrow to try to keep the season alive, otherwise these guys will be home in time to take their kids trick-or-treating on Halloween.
