Wait...maybe I'm wrong but I think the whole STL/BAL thing is out of order right now in the historical database?
I've always operated under the understanding that the Brown Stockings -> Browns (Van der Ahe) -> Cardinals and that it was Brewers -> Browns ->Orioles.
