With the acquisition of Merrill and his contract, combined with players getting bumps in arbitration, StL will likely not be able to re-sign Reese Olson (he won't budge from 28M/y for 5-6 seasons. We likely cannot afford that, and it'll be interesting to see what he gets from free agency. We'll try to QO him and see if we can get an additional draft pick.
Anyway, River Ryan will likely be the 5th SP in the rotation next year along with Yamamoto, Aldegheri, and the two rookies Evan Bailey and Tony Cruz.
