Marchard and Dobson were more like rebuild moves (Boston ja NYI got mainly draft picks). As long as both Makar and Mackinnon are in prime, Colorado would not start any kind of rebuild.
One problem with these AI trades is that they take huge risks. Trade Makar for forward leaves huge gap in the defence.
Trade Vasilevsky for defender or forward is awful squad building either if team outlook is win now.

Yeah that has been a problem for FHM12 so far, teams seem unable to realise that they will potentially leave themselves with a huge hole at a position group by making some of these blockbuster trades. Hopefully they can get that under better control over the next couple of patches.
