Playing with coaches has often felt strange to me because it seems to allow the user (myself) an oppurtunity to exploit the ai/ coaching system.

I can fire all of my staff and sign all of the best coaches on day 1 if I so please which results in my farm system being significantly stronger several years down the line.

The AI will never follow suit and use the ratings that it itself assigns to the coaches to accrue spectacular MiLB coaches.

So my question is have any of you all played with the coaching system off and how did you like it? How was player development?
