Week 23 – September 14th: Royals Take Second Game in Extra Innings
Anthony Veneziano pitched a great game tonight, holding the Pirates lineup to just 1 earned run on 4 hits—a 2-out homer in the 1st inning by LF Bryan Reynolds. That was all for the rest of his 7-inning start, and he showed his grit. I can’t wait to get him in the training facility and develop another pitch in his arsenal this offseason. He has the stamina and stuff to be a solid mid-rotation starter for us, which would really help our pitching staff.
