Game Summary – September 9th – Soto Slugs Yankees to 12-7 Win
The Kansas City Royals and New York Yankees left fans buzzing. The Yankees defeated the Royals 12-7, with much of the credit going to designated hitter Juan Soto. Soto hit 2 home runs for the Yankees. The win brings New York's season record to 85-59. New York took the lead, 7-6, on Everson Pereira's second home run of the season. The two-run homer came off Kansas City pitcher Huascar Brazoban in the bottom of the seventh.
