The Shires started off hot, SP Ty Johnson struck out the first 5 Slider batters that he faced, finishing with 8 Ks total. In the 3rd inning, Nunez got it started by reaching 1B on an E6, advancing to 2B on the overthrow. Christian Moore singled home Nunez and Moore took 2B on the throw home. Ozuna reached 1B on an E5, and Moore scored the 2nd run on the 2nd throwing error in the inning. Fortune appeared to be smiling on St Louis.

In the bottom of the 4th, Cowser and walked, and with 1-out Arredondo tied the game with a 2R HR.

The game remained tied 2-2 until the the 6th when Crawford led off with a double, driving Johnson for the game. Descalso called for Jackson Kelley to provide relief, and he provided the opposite. After striking out the 1st batter he faced, Crawford doubled home Collier to give the Sliders a 3-2 lead. The next batter Cook drove a ball deep into the left field seats for a 2R HR. The next batter, Harry Ford, had the same idea and parked one over the LF wall giving the Sliders back to back HR and a 6-2 lead, and the eventual win.
