Cards news: Sept. 11 -- Forearm injury will end season for Dylan Lee
The St. Louis Cardinals have learned that left-handed relief pitcher Dylan Lee will miss the remainder of the season after he left their 7-3 victory over the Tampa Bay Rays on Sept. 7 with forearm inflammation.
It hasn't been a great season for the 35-year-old, who in 2028 combined for 42 saves and a 0.81 ERA while pitching for the Atlanta Braves and the Cardinals, as in 34 games he has gone 5-3 with seven saves and a 4.31 ERA.
Taking Lee's place on the roster is 25-year-old left-hander Yadiel Batista who is being called to the majors for the first time.
Batista, who is currently at AAA Memphis, has pitched in 26 games between AA Springfield and AAA, and gone 4-10 with two saves and a 5.67 ERA.
