Finish the other side of the equation, the benefit analysis. As part of the Launch Plus mission set, you earn 35 Standard packs, 27 Historical Silvers, 25 Historical Golds, 19 Historical Diamonds, 3 Historical Perfects, and 3 Historical Rainbows.
You complete Negro Leagues, which mirror Launch Plus (very high duplication value, i.e., you're completing multiple missions by acquiring the same cards). Negro Leagues get you 4 Standards, 5 Historical Silvers, 11 Historical Golds, 24 (!) Historical Diamonds, and a Perfect Pack, plus you get Satchel Paige and a handful of lesser mortals. You'll also complete or nearly complete a horde of Pack Rewards missions, earning over 50 Standard packs in the process. There's also a lot of duplication with the Launch Help missions in the Immortals set and a fair amount of duplication in Bonus rewards.
Total haul is around 100 Standard packs, 32 Historical Silver, 36 Historical Gold, 43 Historical Diamond, a Perfect Pack, 3 Historical Perfects, and 3 Historical Rainbows. With any kind of pack luck at all, you'll end up with about the same amount you started with, and you've acquired a solid if unspectacular team in the process.
Those Historical Perfect and Rainbow Packs are also lottery tickets with a high floor. Worst case is you pull a bunch of duplicate launch-day historicals and sell them for a profit of about 200,000 PP after taxes.
