I hope I'm recounting this right. Gary Cohen just went back to yesterday, when the Mets churned the Barves for six homers and four stolen bases, which back then was called as the first time the Mets had ever done that in a game.
Today's research shows that this was only the fourth 6 HR, 4 SB game in MLB history, and as Gary said, "the history of that is really, really weird":
"It happened once in 1994, and twice in 1995. Twice it was the Indians, and once the Tigers. And all three of those instances came against the White Sox!"
