Game 1: 4-5 L. LP-Acosta (7-5, 4.1 5 4 4 2 4). HR-K.White (29), Haro (18). Rays got off to a poor start in their big series with Toronto, falling 3 back after a loss in which they came up short.

Game 2: 9-6 W (10). WP-R.Rodriguez (2-6). S-L.Gonzalez (1). Starter-Najera (5.1 4 2 1 2 4). HR-Rutschman 2 (15), K.White 2 (31), Haro (19), W.Perez (5). Rays kept taking the lead and the bullpen kept blowing it including R-Rod giving up a 2-run homer in the 9th but White's 2nd homer of the game followed by Perez's 2-run shot in the 10th finally won it as they belted six longballs on the day.

Game 3: 7-3 W. WP-Buckman (12-6, 5.2 5 0 0 2 5). The struggling Soto drove in 3 runs on a pair of singles and Pino was 3-4 with a double and 2 RBI to lead the Rays to a series win getting them right back into the thick of the division race.

Team record: 62-47. Boston also won 2 of 3 so they and the Rays have both pulled within 1 game of Toronto. Next up: A return home for 3 against Atlanta.
