Toronto Pitcher of the Month: see below 😊
Toronto Position Player of the Month: DH
Eugenio Suárez .326-9-18 1.072OPS 18R 1.5WAR
The train continues to roll as we really picked up pace in June and never stopped in July. Looking around the AL, there seems to be no team talented enough to stop us… but that means… basically nothing in a playoff scenario.
Yes,
Daniel Norris had a good and a bad start and
Juan Gonzalez has not been the best thing since sliced bread (so far), but the offense is rolling and the bullpen is absurdly good.
Buchanan is on pace for a 47 saves season with a 2.28 ERA and 1.2WAR… that is a
Reliever of the Year in my book.
Also,
Devin Mesoraco may just be getting hot as he had a torrid 1.264OPS week at the end of July and
Eugenio Suárez is on pace for 51 home runs with 123RBI’s and leads the AL by whooping 7 home runs. Good boy.
Another good boy?
Clayton Kershaw is 8-7 1.99 176K 6.5WAR on a losing team… yet will win his 5th Cy Young Award barring injury… at age 28.

We still cling on to the best minor league system in baseball… which won’t last when
Gonzalez becomes ineligible as the
Houston Astros have the #1 and #2 prospect…
Now, another guy to watch… is AAA catcher
Bobby Cary. The 20-year old scouting discovery is the #36 prospect, rated 50/50/70/55/50 potential… and ‘would’ make him better rated at the plate as
Mesoraco… stay tuned.
