I have to admit, I was rooting for Bryan Woo to get out of that bases-loaded jam in the 6th, just so he could have the 24 straight 6-inning starts with two or fewer BB, which hasn't been done since Cy Young in 1905. What can I say, I like history. (Besides, we were ahead.)
Woo woon't pass Cy, though. Cy ran that streak to
35 straight starts until the White Sox jumped on him for four runs in the first and Cy took himself out after just one-third of an inning. (Rightly so…the Pale Hose won that game, 15-1. Might as well save the arm.)
