April 26 was a day off. On the 27th, the Dolls began a 3-game series against the cellar-dwelling Boston Babies, who have been playing atrociously this year. They won all 3, and the Babies awful record is now 3-24, which puts them in last place in the entire Playhouse League.

Some other news from around the league includes the fact that Noot-Noots' center fielder Ross Turetsky's hitting streak has reached 25 games and that Knickerbockers' pitcher Charley 'Old Hoss' Radbourn is suffering from a stiff back and is day-to-day but the injury does not appear to be serious.

Speaking of the Knickerbockers, their left fielder Prince Frederick has secured a 20-game hitting streak.
