The magic continues...
The Rays' Cinderella run through the playoffs continued with more Steinbrenner magic as
Danny Jansen's 3-run walk-off homer in the bottom of the 11th, his 3rd this postseason, gave the Rays a 5-2 win in the ALCS opener. Tarik Skubal and
Shane McClanahan pitched to a 2-2 draw through 6 and then it was a battle of the bullpens with 5 shutout innings from Tampa Bay's making the difference. Rays had a chance to win in the 10th but they had a man thrown out at the plate, but that only delayed things for an inning.
Drew Rasmussen will try to send them to Motown up 2-0 tomorrow.
