Game 1: Malden 3, Easy Town 2

Association Championship Series Game 1 Victory for Caje and Malden

The Malden Grognaks powered past the visiting Easy Town Assaultrons, 3-2, in the opener of the Association Championship Series at Unstoppable Park. Malden starting pitcher Hry Caje threw 7.0 innings of 4-hit ball, to lead the charge. The Grognaks now lead the series 1-0.

With scoring opportunities rare, the Grognaks had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the bottom of the second, when catcher Plo Kon hit a 2-run double. The double came off Lonely Gale and made the score 2-0, Grognaks. Kon was 2 for 3 with a double, while adding 2 RBI.

"We just didn't score enough runs to win," said Easy Town manager Malik Christmasstory.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Unstoppable Park in Malden.

Easy Town Win Evens Series at 1

Tarzan Rogers went the distance at Unstoppable Park to drag the Easy Town Assaultrons back to parity with the Malden Grognaks. The left-handed Rogers needed 113 pitches to get through the complete game effort, which the Assaultrons won, 6-0. The clubs are now tied 1-1 in the best-of-7 series.

Rogers delivered a quality start for Easy Town. The 6-foot-2 left-hander allowed no earned runs on 3 hits over 9 innings of work.

"I'm just trying to make sure I'm focused for each and every pitch," said Rogers.

The next game is set to be played for Thursday, September 21st , 2316 at Easy Town Field in Easy Town.

Game 3: Easy Town 7, Malden 4

Easy Town Wins at Home to Take 2-1 Lead in ACS

Catcher Bill Barnes made an impact for Easy Town, when he swatted a run-scoring double off Storm Steele in the bottom of the fifth. For the contest, Barnes was 2-4 with 2 doubles. He scored 2 runs.

"It's true for every sport, I think, but the playoffs are so short that you've just got to get in and get hot," Easy Town manager Malik Christmasstory told BNN after the win. "We took care of the first part and now we're just working on the second."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Easy Town Field in Easy Town.

Game 4: Malden 6, Easy Town 4, 11 inn.

Grognaks Even With Assaultrons After Extra-Innings Win

Handed an opportunity to take a commanding lead in the Association Championship Series, the Easy Town Assaultrons could not close the deal.

Game 4 went into extra frames and the Malden Grognaks emerged victorious, taking a 11-inning, 6-4 win. Malden pitcher Hry Caje threw 7.0 innings of 5-hit ball in the win at Easy Town Field to drag the Grognaks back to parity. The clubs are now tied 2-2 in the best-of-7 series.

Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Taffy Dare? The 25-year old left fielder Dare stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put Malden up, 4-3. For the game, he was 2 for 6, including 1 double and 1 single.

"I was just taking it batter by batter, just enjoying the moment," said Caje.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Easy Town Field in Easy Town.

Game 5: Easy Town 2, Malden 1, 10 inn.

Critical Game 5 Goes to Host Assaultrons, 2-1

Rogers pitched well in the 2-1 win at Easy Town Field. He threw 7.1 innings of 6-hit ball. The win allowed Easy Town to seize a 3-2 lead in the best-of-7 Association Championship Series.

Topher Spark did his part for the Assaultrons, producing a solo home run in the bottom of the fourth inning. For the game, the right fielder was 1 for 2 with a home run and 2 walks.

1B Tinter, Grognaks Destroy Assaultrons, 11-1, to Force Game 7

The Malden Grognaks and the Easy Town Assaultrons will take the Association Championship Series to a decisive 7th game. In a must-win situation, the Grognaks beat the Assaultrons, 11-1, at Unstoppable Park to force the series into what will essentially be a one-game playoff. Malden first baseman Lance Tinter was 2 for 3 with 2 singles and 2 walks, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once.

In the bottom of the second, Tinter had one of his most important at-bats: a 2-run single off Cohort Williams that staked the Grognaks to a 3-1 lead.

"Solid performance from our side," said Grognaks manager Chris Blizard.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Unstoppable Park in Malden.

Game 7: Easy Town 5, Malden 3

Exciting 9th Sends Trons to Sole Survivor Series

It took a while, but the Easy Town Assaultrons finally disposed of the Malden Grognaks 5-3 in the series clincher at Unstoppable Park.

Winning the finale gave the Assaultrons the series, 4-3. They will now advance to the Sole Survivor Series.

The Grognaks took a 3-2 lead in the bottom of the 8th on Jack Of Diamonds' RBI single following a Taffy Dare triple to lead off the inning. However, things were all Trons in the top of the 9th.

With Rump Pellstillt on the mound for Malden to try to close out the game, Halep Gutteridge singled to lead off for the Assaultrons. Moktar Wakihuri was hit by a pitch and then Sean Samules came on as a pinch runner for Gutteridge.

With one out, Finnan Hunt doubles to score both Samuels and Wakihuri to give Easy Town the 4-3 lead. It proved to be the winning run. The Trons scored two more on back-to-back one-out RBI hits by Albie Cannibal (single) and Eden Babz (double).

The Most Valuable Player Award went to Easy Town center fielder Babz. He batted .393 in the series, collecting 3 RBIs and scoring 3 runs.

The Easy Town Assaultrons will play against the Quincy Gunners in the next round. Quincy won their series against the Glowing Sea Radscorpions 4 games to 1. The Sole Survivor Series schedule will be announced after the Association Championship Series finishes.

The Quincy Gunners started the Association Championship Series in style, winning on the road against the Glowing Sea Radscorpions at Glowing Sea Dome by a score of 6-1 to take an early 1-0 lead in the best-of-7 series. Gunners left-hander Make Money threw 8.2 innings allowing 1 run.

Will Hell, who finished 2nd in the SCA in RBI with 99 in 2314, helped out the Quincy cause in the top of the fifth inning with a run-scoring walk. For the game, the second baseman drew 2 walks in 5 plate appearances.

"We have a lot of confidence in Make," said Quincy manager Scrappy Barios.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Glowing Sea Dome in Dover.

Game 2: Quincy 2, Glowing Sea 1

Rochambeau Handcuffs Radscorpions, Gunners Seize 2-0 Advantage in ACS

Fosdyke Rochambeau pitched a gem to help the Quincy Gunners escape with a tight, 2-1 victory over the Glowing Sea Radscorpions in a low-scoring Association Championship Series contest. The right-handed Rochambeau threw 7.0 innings of 5-hit ball in the win, just enough for the Gunners on a day when their offense dried up. Quincy now leads the best-of-7 series 2-0.

Sleve McDichael, who finished 3rd in the NCA in hits with 158 in 2306, had a direct impact on the outcome. McDichael contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the fourth inning to put Quincy up, 2-0.

"Runs were at a premium," said Quincy manager Scrappy Barios.

Game 3 is scheduled for Friday at The Stone House in Quincy.

Game 3: Glowing Sea 4, Quincy 3, 11 inn.

Glowing Sea Breaks Through for First Win in Association Championship Series; Now Trails 2-1

Already down in the Association Championship Series, the Glowing Sea Radscorpions put on their best show, beating the Quincy Gunners by a final score of 4-3. Hot Lips Houlihan was special. He threw 7.0 innings allowing 3 runs. Glowing Sea now trails Quincy 2-1 in the best-of-7 affair.

Glowing Sea took advantage of an error in the top of the 11th inning. The game was tied, 3-3, when Brunwulf Freewinter hit a run-scoring single that was misplayed. It put the Radscorpions in front, 4-3.

"It's a big deal," Freewinter said of the win. "If we had gone to 0-3, we're pretty much out of it."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at The Stone House in Quincy.

Game 4: Quincy 3, Glowing Sea 2

Almost There: Quincy On Cusp of ACS Triumph After 3-2 Win

The Quincy Gunners moved to within one game of the Sole Survivor Series, downing the visiting Glowing Sea Radscorpions at The Stone House by a score of 3-2. Gunners left-hander Make Money had a strong outing in which he threw 7.0 innings of 6-hit ball. The win gives the Gunners a 3-1 advantage in the best-of-7 Association Championship Series.

Sleve McDichael dealt the Radscorpions a blow in the bottom of the fourth. Batting with a runner on 2nd and Quincy leading 2-1, McDichael, who finished 3rd in the NCA in hits with 158 in 2306, hit a 0-2 curveball for a run-scoring single.

"Bottom line," said Glowing Sea skipper Woody Lumpkin, "we didn't play well enough to win."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at The Stone House in Quincy.

Game 5: Quincy 6, Glowing Sea 3

Quincy Takes Association Championship Series

The Quincy Gunners have beaten the Glowing Sea Radscorpions and will advance to the Sole Survivor Series.

Quincy won the final game by a 6-3 count to take the series 4-1. The Gunners triumph was no doubt in large part because of the performance of left fielder Alchemist Hall, who was named MVP of the series.

"The only thing that matters is that we're off to the next round and one step closer to a Sole Survivor Series," he said.

In Game 5, the 1st inning proved to be all the Gunners needed to secure their second trip in three seasons to the Sole Survivor Series. Quay Swimmer struck out the leadoff batter, but then Brad Hop reached on a Poncho Picasso error at SS. Will Hell singled.

With two outs and runners on first and second, Alchemist Hall singled to score Hop and send Hell to third. Sleve McDichael followed with an RBI single to make it 2-0. After runners advancd on a wild pitch, Pipewrench Mathis walked to load the bases. Downlow Uptown then hit a two-RBI single for the 4-0 Quincy lead.

The Quincy Gunners don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Malden Grognaks - Easy Town Assaultrons series. Easy Town leads the series 3 games to 2. The Sole Survivor Series schedule will be announced after the Association Championship Series finishes.
