Week 9 – May 11th – Third Series Game Brings a HUGE Shutout Win!
Game Summary – May 11th – Frazier Stars in 8-0 Royals Win
Boosted by the 3-hit performance of Adam Frazier, who finished 4th in the NL in triples with 7 in 2019, the Kansas City Royals defeated the Los Angeles Angels, 8-0. The win has Kansas City at 16-25. With Kansas City leading 4-0 in the top of the sixth, Frazier came up to bat against Los Angeles pitcher Tyler Anderson. Frazier hit a fastball to left-center for a 3-run home run. His 2nd home run of the season put the Royals on top, 7-0.
"I'm just trying to make good contact," said Frazier, "one at-bat at a time."

This win tonight was even better than last night’s win because this felt decisive and deliberate. We hit on all cylinders! I’m so proud of the team for putting this win together tonight. So many guys to give props to. Adam Frazier, of course, but also Vinnie, Blanco again, and Ragans for pitching another beauty. I hope he can stay healthy. I’ll have to watch his pitch count. And our bullpen came through much better tonight, too. I think I’ve got guys in the correct roles; I need to get Schieber healthy so he can close for us on games like this. He should be back to throwing in the Seattle series coming up in two days.
