Agree with you on the Chicago race.
As for your mega super longo post, I hate the playoff system as it is now. I'm old school, I like the old points system, and that's that.
But....IF you have to have that playoff format...then the top 12 drivers from the points through the entire year qualify. Wins can give you some bonus points for the playoff stretch, but they don't automatically get you in.
Then in each round, same thing...all points. Give a bonus for wins. I'm OK with that because winning still should mean a little more than anything else. But that way someone can't win one race and crash out last the next two and move on.
And the championship is three freaking races...not one.
