There really are quite a few leagues with honest commishes and owners. If you don't trust a commish who also owns a team, look for leagues like the DDB where the commish doesn't own a team. Leagues that have been around for a few seasons are more likely to keep going than ones that have folded. They're also less likely to be run by cheaters. I've found the online league experience to be more than worth the trouble of finding good leagues.
