Glad to hear it's not a bug. I will try to keep an open mind in regards to this change. 1901 will still ensure that I don't get Cap Anson
At least 1901 will rid me of the Toad Ramsey's and Bobby Mathews that absolutely ruin random debut leagues(my opinion of course, so please don't take offense). That being said, it might be fun to have a full career Cy Young for the first time in all my years of playing random debut.
I will keep an eye on the guys like Fred Clarke and Billy Hamilton and others like them. If I don't like how they behave, I will just use 1912 or 1913 as my minimum. Figure that would rid me of the pre1900 guys.
