The Giants pitchers have dropped down to 4th in ERA as the bullpen has struggled with injuries. On the batting side, the team have dropped to the bottom half of the league in most rankings, giving a slightly more accurate reflection of where this programme stands.
A tough month for Joel Hudson and Juan Zetino cues the Giants struggles, although Joey Haigh continues his strong power season, another 5 HR for the month.
Andy Frederick has a strong month with an 81 FIP- although Jesus Barbosa continues to struggle although manages a positive WAR for the month. In the bullpen, only Rickey Martino impressed with every other bullpen arm having a FIP- above league average. The Giants hope this is simply a poor month but an eye is constantly on the waiver wire now.
Transactions & Injuries
The Giants take several injuries but nothing as serious as losing Cason Willard for the season. Willard was either going to help a massively over achieving season or be an attractive trade bait at the deadline. Now, he will be neither and the Giants are left to hope he returns the same player. Former Royal is called up when Danny Zellefrow is injured, while Josh Parker will miss 3 weeks with a sprained ankle, Rob Clauss coming back from injury just in time to take his place.

It's official. BNN writers have voted Chris Herman of the Eugene Emeralds the Northwest League Batter of the Month award for May.
During the month he recorded a .392 average with 12 home runs, 39 RBIs and 24 runs scored.
Thus far this year, Herman has hit .375 with 18 home runs and 57 RBIs.
