Hall of Fame
The Hall of Fame welcomes two new members, both first ballots, as Steve Melendy (91.1%) and Josh Cook (84.6%) are both enshrined in Cooperstown. Bobby Witt Jr. drops to 56.1% of ballots in his 6th year and the extra 20% seems a long way off. Joe Kohl will be more hopeful as his first time on the ballot secures 73.6% of votes and a strong chance next year.
Several of Stewart’s early favourites dropped off the ballot this year due to lack of support, Mason Barnett, Billy Mumaugh, Jimmy Goodman, and Jeremy Rogerson all failing to secure the 5% needed to appear again next year.
Arizona Fall League
The end of the Arizona Fall League this offseason sees the end of the competition. Virginia Beach Maulers finish runners up in both Outstanding Pitch and Most Valuable Player Awards but it is a tournament that has been good for the Royals. It’s time is up though to ease the eventual transition to OOTP26.
