I assume you are talking about the opening lineup screen when playing out a game? If so there is no setting that will do that. I believe the answer previously from Markus was broadcasts don't use pics in "todays" uniform rather they use stock photos.
At the end of the day that reality means OOTP doesn't have to create more pics to be used "one time only" (or massively increase the number of gens if every player needed gens for every uniform to be used on this screen)? I'm not saying it wouldn't be a cool feature, though if optional I'm not sure I'd turn it on. Having said that, if it were optional I wouldn't be surprised if I were in a very small minority as I'm sure most would use and enjoy it.
