Cards news: July 12 -- Burleson suspended for three games for bumping umpire
The St. Louis Cardinals have learned that outfielder/first baseman Alec Burleson has been suspended for three games after he bumped the home-plate umpire following a strikeout in a 7-5 11-inning win over Milwaukee on July 12.
In 75 games/70 starts this season, Burleson has hit .262 with nine home runs and 37 RBIs.
