There are specific settings for fielding and stamina (apart from and not to be confused with the 1-year, 3-year and 5-year recalc settings):

Got those. My problem isn't the Rookie import.
It's that it doesn't update in coming seasons for Defensive Rating, Stamina and likely Position. Like Batting & (Other) Pitching Ratings.
How does one set Defense:
(a) to be like Offense in updating year-by-year
(b) to factor in positional changes such as Rose, Yount, Carew, Molitor, Torre, etc.

For whatever reason, he imports into 1970 as a mediocre 2B. I don't really care as I had no intention of playing him in 1970 & 1971, saving his rookie campaign for 1972. In Real Life, Grich was a great defensive 2B in 1972-1975. He became an above average-to-good defensive 2B after that through 1982. Yet I'm now in 1972, his defense hasn't changed to that Gold Glove level, it's the exact same number as originally imported in 1970.
Am I missing a setting for this (and Stamina & POS) being updated each rollover? Or for some reason was Defense + Stamina + POS not updated like Batter Ratings & (other) Pitcher ratings in the 19th version of out beloved game?
