The problem with that is he is wearing the 1923 uniform so as I take the viewpoint that uniforms run from opening day to opening day not by chronological year, I would assign that image as representative of 1923. That said that the option from the standing Bradenton team photo where Dyer is on the extreme left may well give better results for 1923.
Having seen some of the superb outcomes you have obtained from images extracted from team photos, how about doing the same for Dyer, if possible, from the 1924 St. Louis Cardinals team photo, again from the same page, where he is standing in the top row second from left. Incidentally is that the earliest, or indeed first, team photo that exists where players uniform numbers are clearly visible?
