Now we are second worst in baseball. Yaay.
Carlos Carrasco has been a hot disappointment on top of the rotation and
Kyle Davies has cooled off significantly, so our starting pitching took quite a hit
and well, the Mendoza line is still a challenge for three of our hitters. That being said, all hail
Devin Mesoraco, batting .302 for the season and hitting bombs. The guy we are most concerned about is 3B
Scott Sizemore tho. He was supposed to produce with his bat and not be a too big liability on defence
he is both now.
Around the league, the
San Francisco Giants are trucking along with a 20-9 month and
Buster Posey batting .354. It is Win Now! for them as the farm is barren but they won it all two years ago and look primed to return to the playoffs. On the other end of the spectrum are the
Houston Astros. Being as bad as we are, the only positive ray of light is 2B
Jose Altuve(22, 3/5*) playing a breakout year, batting .330-1-12 .798 11/15SB 0.8WAR in 48 games.

Our AAA roster is starting to click as
Rendon continues to hit with a .364/9-26 1.110OPS 1.7WAR season and
Snell(3.41) and
Syndergaard(1.91) had good months of May. The scouting reports are still fringe for major league players so there is no reason to rush, but progress is progress.

The kid started 2-2 3.16 30K in 25.2IP in the Golf Coast League and is looking good, but has a long way to go if he wants to really finish up his development with a 80 control ceiling.
