Question

What is the point of having RPs in Perfect Team? I don't mean not having a bullpen - what is the point of having pitchers who are specifically RPs. Al Hrobosky, for one example.

By the halfway point of the season the last several years, most of the top teams in PT have bullpens filled with starters and, possibly, a couple of absurdly highly rated RPs. I've read that starters get a bit of a "boost" when put in a reliever role, but doesn't that just incentivize players to never use RPs?

It also doesn't seem very realistic - in the real world, teams don't have bullpens filled with starters. And starters don't easily move between SP, RP, and CL roles.

Have the devs ever given thought to nerfing starters who are pitched out of role in order to force players to actually use RP cards? Feels like that would add another (welcome) layer to the strategy of team building.

To be clear, my current PT bullpen is almost entirely starters. I'm just curious.

Thanks.
