Montreal Expos beat the
Philadelphia Grizzlies, 8-3.

With one out in the top of the seventh,
Gabriel Cervantes had a game-changing hit. The
Expos catcher slammed a run-scoring single off

Philadelphia Gets Riveting Walk-Off Win
Fans watched the
Philadelphia Grizzlies and the
Montreal Expos fight to the finish.
The
Philadelphia Grizzlies picked up a win at Citizens Bank Park, knocking off the
Montreal Expos, 5-4. On the mound for
Philadelphia was left-hander
Ruben Torrez. He played a key role in the triumph, working eight scoreless innings with
14K but got the ND.
Philadelphia raised its record to 74-60 with the win.
The
Grizzlies got a clutch hit from catcher
Juan Cardenas. In the bottom of the 14th, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the
Grizzlies.
"What a buzz," said
Cardenas after it was over. The 24-year old catcher is batting .251-5-33 .657OPS 1.6WAR in 97 games.

Marty Murrietta's fine effort. The right-hander led his team to a win, 4-1.
Murrietta, the winner, moves to 7-5. He threw 6.2 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 9 and giving up 2 walks. Picking up the save was
Kevin Cowden. He's now 24 for 29 in save chances.
"I liked his command," said
Montreal manager Aaron McCreery. "
Marty was throwing strikes."
Montreal used a clutch at-bat from
Mitku Kazemd to capture the win. The second baseman hammered a grand slam home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the
Expos ahead, 4-1. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger. The 22-year old is batting .247-12-35 .670OPS 0.7WAR in 100 games.

Alex Torres.
Torres went 2-4 with a home run, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 4 for the
Aeros.
Jordan Arroyo, the winning pitcher, is now 4-3. He went 7.1 innings, allowing 4 runs on 6 hits, while fanning 5 and walking 1. With the win, the
Aeros sit at 72-66.
"It feels good to get this one,"
Torres told the Boston Herald. The 2x Gold Glover is batting .268-6-34 .702OPS 1.6WAR in 105 games.
Savion Smith helped out the
Boston cause in the bottom of the seventh inning with a run-scoring walk. For the game, the catcher went 1 for 3 with a walk.

Hinton Dominates As Expos Wins, 4-0
Montreal registered a win at Fenway Park by beating the
Boston Aeros, 4-0. Pitcher
Dan Hinton was one reason why the
Expos triumphed.
Adam Rudolph converted his 16th save in 19 tries. With the win over
Boston, the
Expos improved to 69-71.
Hinton scattered 5 hits over 7.2 innings for the
Expos. With the win,
Hinton moves to 9-8 on the year with 148 strikeouts.

Ignacio Benavides to pick up the win. The left fielder ripped a run-scoring triple in the top of the fifth inning to put the
Expos on top, 3-0. For the game,
Benavides had 1 triple and 3 singles in 5 at-bats.
