Himalayan League

This is a league that means a little more to me personally. I work in a classroom with ESL students, most of whom are from this region. I drew some inspiration from them for this set.

Fisal aabad Wewers 🇵🇰 (Faisalabad Weavers)

Kathamadaum Yatisa 🇳🇵 (Kathmandu Yetis)
This one is inspired by one of my Nepali students who absolutely loves baseball cards.

Khulna Sundari 🇧🇩

Laahor Rilez 🇵🇰 (Lahore Royals)

Raaulpandi Chakors 🇵🇰 (Rawalpindi Chukars)

Siliguri Bangaal 🇮🇳 (Siliguri Bengals)

Thimphu Drag Po 🇧🇹 (Thimphu Dragons)
Did you know the nation of Bhutan is world-renowned for their postage stamps?

Tibet Gyag 🇨🇳 (Tibet Yak)

Vientiane Sang 🇱🇦 (Vientiane Elephants)

Yangon Yuzanas 🇲🇲
Up until 2013, Myanmar was one of three countries in the world still holding out against the metric system. They had their own system, which I find absolutely hilarious. The largest measurement for distance under this system was the ယူဇနာ, or "yuzana," equal to about 20.48256 km or 12.7273 mi.
