When Acuna was benched in 2019, he was "already an All-Star." Kelenic is a nobody, going nowhere.

What lunatic manager would intentionally punish an All-Star but go easy on a scrub based solely on race? If anything, it would be the other way around and Kelenic would be complaining about Acuna being favored in this situation.

Admittedly, Snitker's responses about "timing," and "no blanket thing," and "wasn't watching" are incredibly lame. But maybe he thought of doing what he did 6 years ago because he really cared about budding star Acuna, wanting him to learn the right lesson, whereas yesterday he just didn't really feel motivated about Kelenic, one way or the other.
