[correct forum] Returning to 00TP with Go 26: Expansion and Historical Database Challenges

Accidently put this in the 24 subboard. I included a reply in-thread.

I'm an old-school OOTP player—active from version 3 through 2010 and even a beta tester for a while. After a long break, I’ve been back in the sim game hardcore for the last six months, and OOTP Go 26 finally pulled me back in this weekend. The game is a lot more robust than I expected, which is great, but I’ve run into a couple of issues that I could use some help with.

1. Minor League Assignments Post-Expansion

I’ve built a historical fiction league with planned expansions, and everything was smooth until I expanded my major league. I added the new minor league affiliates too, but I can’t find any way to assign them to their parent teams. I know how this used to work in earlier versions, and I’m comfortable doing it manually if needed, but in Go 26 I just don’t see the function at all. Am I missing it, or is it not implemented?

2. Historical Database Path Error

I’ve double-checked that the historical database path is correct on the setup screen. Still, I keep getting an error saying the database isn’t found. The file I’m pointing to is named historical_database_mobile.odb. I’ve even tried copying the full path from the file info, but it doesn’t seem to register. Changing the path doesn’t seem to actually change anything in-game, and it still can’t find the file.

Any help or insight would be really appreciated. Thanks in advance!

2 - I believe Will Beh said the error message can be ignored as a cosmetic issue. (Will, correct me if I'm wrong.)

Unfortunately I've simmed to the draft and the pool is empty. Historical rookies, etc checked. I've moved the draft a day out again and again and tried various path options in the database path section and it didn't help. Idk.. Dang.
