Juan Sosa
On this Day, April 23, 2001: The Rockies traded Juan Sosa to the Diamondbacks for Ryan Owens. Sosa became perhaps the most irrelevant Diamondback ever, getting called up at the end of May after Matt Williams went on the DL with a hamstring problem. He came in as a late-inning defensive replacement on May 24, and was used as a pinch-runner for starter Robert Ellis the following day. We batted around and he ended the inning by striking out, it was his only PA as a D-back, as he was sent to the minors a few days later. - azsnakepit.com
