Damn. I was just thinking about him yesterday, too.
Short story: I have to cut down on my sodium, not because of blood pressure which has always been fine, but because I have Meniere's syndrome (it's not a disease, although it's popularly labeled as such). Meniere's is strongly associated with alcohol, caffeine, and sodium intake.
Thus, out with the goddamned (excuse my French) deli meats in which the manufacturers pour in the salt. As they do in so many other processed foods.
And in with preparing more of my own food, such as buying and cooking turkey and chicken. What better way to do so than with my trusty George Foreman grill? That baby is getting a workout these days, more than ever.
So I was just mentally thanking George Foreman for his grill yesterday. (Yes, I know he probably only slapped his name on it but I am grateful to him, still.)
RIP, George.
