Could exact instructions be provided on where to install the fg_files folder to for OOTP 26 direct (non-Steam) version?

There are too many possibilities and the initial post is not clear on exactly which folder the fg_files folder should be placed in, and a video tutorial I watched for OOTP 25 had a different folder structure, so I'm even more confused.

These seem to be the potential options:

C:\Program Files\Out of the Park Developments\OOTP Baseball 26
(This is where it is stated they should go in the initial post. I don't think this is correct, but maybe I'm wrong.)

C:\Program Files\Out of the Park Developments\OOTP Baseball 26\data
(This looks closer to what I saw on the OOTP 25 video tutorial, but the only folders in here are fonts and skins, and a few other image/icon files.)

C:\Program Files\Out of the Park Developments\OOTP Baseball 26\default_data
(Almost all only .zip files in here, so I'm assuming this isn't it.)

C:\Users\my_username\My Documents\Out of the Park Developments\OOTP Baseball 26
(This was the only folder that had an existing fg_files folder, but this is not even remotely close to what the initial post suggested would be the location. When I delete the fg_files folder, upon starting the game, this folder is regenerated.)

(I'm using Wine via Linux, so maybe that's why I'm having a rougher time.)

Please tell us which folder exactly the fg_files needs to go into.

Finally, is there a very clear and obvious way to confirm that it was installed correctly and working?
