The ALCS saw the mighty Tigers outscore the Red Sox 30-10, taking the AL Pennant in 4 games...
Meanwhile, in the NLCS, the Fightin' Phillies managed to chase the Chicago Cubs in the same span of games to claim their 4th NL Pennant of the decade.
So, the 1957 World Series will be a rematch of the 1956 and 1952 Fall Classics. This one will be the rubber match for these two franchises; the Phillies were champs in '52, the Tigers were victorious last season.
For those who are interested, the World Series of 1957 will be conducted live, tonight, Friday at about 7:30-8 CST. AIM: NMC1979.
