January 2022 Transactions
January 7:

Lutrul's first major move is to bring in
RP Mocheu Mishe, the Reliever of the Year runner-up, from Sitache for two years. He is expected to take over the closer's role from Tahi Mametsiu. Lutrul had the fewest team saves in the EL last season, fewer than 40.
January 8:

Fampalo brings in
OF Sashem Sofiulo, formerly of Sowichark United (NPL, 3rd tier) to be the presumptive starter in left field, for 5 years and $10.8 million total. He is no stranger to the EL, having spent six years with Akashemo and one with Mighty Oaks, a reasonable piece for the bottom of an EL lineup.
January 10:

Pasataki acquire
SP Sopota Tsimpese from Semyof, giving up two years of control on one of their own SPs, Penu Mametsiu.
January 12:
SP Tsarase Roshoshe, formerly of Muni, signs with Akashemo United for four years, $37.2 million. He is still recovering from September surgery, and not expected to be ready for the start of the 2022 season, but he won't miss more than a couple of weeks.
January 15:

The Galaxy sign catcher
Repimi Cholomu from Kupore for 5 years, $28 million. He steps right into the middle of the Pasataki lineup alongside Wia Merefife and the newly acquired Atsi Keana.
January 30:

Sitache sign
SP Neshofa Koleshaparo for 5 years, $11.2 million. The former Yasral starter (NPL, tier 3) will slot into the middle of the Sitache rotation.

Westline have signed
Hoi Rerawe to a six-year contract totalling $19.2 million. The 28 year old has 9 years of EL experience with the Galaxy and Scouts, but was traded down to tier 5 and the Fuwarni Flames for his contract year of 2021.
January 31:

Westline also commit $21.1 million over six years to
SP Pwea Popa. Popa also played previously in the fifth tier of Lokasi baseball, but he has not pitched above that level at all before, being a longtime member of the Oshotater Rubies.
--------------------------------------------
With one month left until the start of the season, several key players remain unsigned. 2B Apia Lela (formerly of Pasataki), C Epencho Posheni (Keleri), and C Takmake Efiyalem (Semyof) are all out there as star-level hitters.
Simultaneously, a few EL stars from last year have chosen to drop down a level or two. Former Muni 1B Nerutsok Uchotsela has signed on with the Sapoyo Tortoises in the NPL (tier 3), and former Fampalo star Pilima Ayawetsi has joined Muni in the Second League. EL stolen base leader Aroshop Lapa also chose to drop to the NPL with Shalish.
February is the offseason's final month, so not long until we're prepping for ball again.
