Thinking of Buying...
I am looking for a digital baseball sim, and this one shows up in a lot of places. I have played Statis Pro baseball for many years, starting way back in 1990, I think it was.
I thought I might tell you what I am looking for and then, if you have a moment, tell me if OOTP offers this type of experience.
With Statis Pro, I created 16 teams of all-time greats in which I averaged out their prime years and then created their player cards based on the 162-game average of all those years. The teams have a mix of modern and historical players. I then play out a season, keep track of the data, and then, in the end, just marvel at all the stats, leaders, etc.
Can OOTP do that? Can I create a bunch of fictional teams (example, All Time Yankees) with the players I want on the team (Gehrig, Ruth, A-rod, Jeter, etc) with stats that emulate their prime-years averages, and then just enjoy season after season without having to worry about finances, salaries, trades, etc?
Thank you!
