Rangers End Marcelo Streak
stadiumreport.bbn May 22nd, 2021
Atlanta Minutemen shortstop
Paulo Marcelo(26, 3*) was one of the hottest hitters in baseball, coming into today's game against
Chicago Rangers sporting a 24-game hitting streak. However, the
Rangers put a chill into his bat, holding him hitless in 1 at-bat as the team cruised to victory, 5-2, at Globe Life Field.
The mercurial
Marcelo was visibly upset following the game, offering only brief remarks to BNN reporters before storming out of the room.
"I've carried this team many times over the last 24 games, and I expected them to do the same for me," he said.
To date
Marcelo has chalked up a .336 average with no home runs, driven in 17 runs and scored 21 times. He also stole 7 bases.

Alfaro’s Hit Streak Ends at 20
stadiumreport.bbn May 22nd, 2021
All good things must come to an end -- and so it was today for
Ignacio Alfaro(24, 2.5*) as he saw his 20-game hitting streak end. He went hitless in 3 at-bats at the hands of the
Kansas City Royals.
It wasn't all bad for the 24-year-old shortstop and the
Calgary Beavers however, as they defeated
Kansas City, 6-5, at Beavers Field.
When asked about his hitting streak, a smiling
Alfaro laughed and said, "I guess my luck ran out today."
This year,
Alfaro is hitting .238 with 5 home runs, 23RBIs, 13 runs scored and a net zero in the WAR column.
