I don’t have any data to back this up but I feel the number of players getting picked off fell dramatically when I went to pitch by pitch mode. You may be aware but you could use pitch by pitch for when you have a base runner(s) only and then the space bar (one pitch mode) when you don’t. That is what I do and while it does add time to the overall game it works for me. I like the trade off of not getting picked or thrown out constantly.
