In every save i'm trying to do my own tactic. Pretty logic tactics, with no tendencies to low or to high. Picking settings that is great fit for my best players. Fix this on a unit level everytime, then playing 20-30 games and tweak it a little bit if something isnt working.
So many times i cant start winning, and i tell AI to set tactics (This is a ****ing lottery right?) I guess AI just randomly set this and doesnt take into account what players i've got. It feels like they pick the worst tactic, that doens make sense and is a bad fit for all my players. Lowest hits, lowest speed, lowest passing.
But then of course, i start winning.
So does tactic even make any difference?
Or is everything just random?
Another example. If i use my best player as a "Playmaker", he score goals every ****ing game. But if put him in "Perimeter shooter" or "Sniper", he is top 3 in the assistleague. I'm so confused.
Can anyone explain this to me?

Don't confuse tactics with player roles (which Playmaker and Sniper) would be. I typically make sure players are playing in roles they want to play in..I do this by using the 2D sim/view and checking the postgame analysis after each game. Typically, this only needs to be done through preseason and maybe the first week of the season. I pick tactics that best suit the most players If a tactic suits nobody then I go with the one that is bad or terrible for the least number of players.
