July 1894 - End of Season
England - First Division
After a 9 game lossless streak to start the month, and just 4 losses overall,
Wolverhampton lift their first First Division title! A powerful and speedy offense that scored the 3rd most runs, a revamped pitching staff with amazing gloves behind that allowed the 2nd fewest runs, and winning where it mattered propelled the West Midlands club to glory. Having been purchased from Sunderland before the season, CF Jamie Coulter proved he can cut it in the First Division, slashing .376/.423/.464 and adding 2.9 WPA. Known star and fellow outfielder Mason Price slashed .315/.415/.497, collecting 2.8 WPA. Together, they drove in 117 (22.8%) of the club's runs. On the mound, Daniel Perrin had an amazing season, finishing with 22 wins to just 9 losses. The 36 year old logged a 3.47 ERA, 1.33 WHIP, 64 K and 105 BB in 34 starts.
