"The following stat lines will show the player's expected results given the league totals. League Modifiers, or other league balance issues may alter their actual output".
So, basically, that is saying if you have Modifiers set to something other than 1.000 and/or if your talent levels are higher/lower (you can see talent levels based on the "Lg Avg" column, they are typically a little over 400) that will also change how they would be expected to perform.
I can't really give specific advice on how to handle your players going forward since you have been editing ratings. It is hard to say where your balance currently is (although your Lg Avg numbers will give some context there). I would recommend some testing.

Regarding the bold text above, this implies that his edited current ratings are better than his potential ratings (whether original or edited), correct?
