Thanks to LGO, I've changed my A/B comp settings to A (top 20%), and B (21%-30%), and they look much better. Had to do my own based on stats though, because the game sure didn't. Could've been a one-time annoyance, and that's why I'll run some tests. I'm going to try to run a couple of parallel universe games to see what I can see. Maybe making the free agents declare on the same day as the draft is borking it somehow. Don't know if the one I've got going will work, but maybe I can grab one of these two parallel games and go with it. 'Twould be a shame to lose it because some brash young kid named Cobb just went number one overall.
