Bruto Wallace

Wallace has developed a reputation as one of the most situational managers in baseball. In close games, he's all about platoon advantages and defensive shifts, keeping things tight. When he's got a small lead, the defensive shifts get even more pronounced and you'll see a lot of pinch hitting. Give him a big lead, and he'll start holding runners aggressively while letting his pitchers work deeper. But it's when his team is trailing big that you see the real Bruto - he'll start running wild, pushing aggressive baserunning and letting his hitters loose. Players say he's got a different gameplan for every situation, but they always know exactly what he wants.
