Frank Scheibeck to Miss Time with Back Injury
St. Louis Sox third baseman Frank Scheibeck will be sidelined for the next 3-4 weeks due to a herniated disc in his back. Scheibeck suffered the injury during the Sox’s 6-3 loss to the Milwaukee Bucks today.
This marks a tough blow for the Sox, as Scheibeck has been a consistent contributor at the plate. The 29-year-old has been hitting a solid .319 this season, with 73 runs and 36 RBIs to his name.
The Sox will now look to fill the gap in their lineup while Scheibeck recovers from this injury. His absence will be felt as St. Louis pushes forward in the tight National Conference standings.
