Boston Bears Eliminated from Playoff Contention
The Boston Bears have officially been eliminated from postseason contention, continuing their streak of missing the playoffs in all 16 seasons of their participation in the Professional Baseball Association (PBA). The team’s search for their first playoff appearance will extend into next season.
Manager Hank Stine addressed the press, acknowledging the disappointment within the team.
“The lads are down at the moment. We will need to pick them up and get them ready for next season,” Stine said.
St. Louis Roughnecks Miss Out on Playoffs Again
The St. Louis Roughnecks will not see playoff action this year, as they were eliminated from postseason contention today. The Roughnecks last made the playoffs in 1885 and have qualified only twice since their founding in 1875.
“We worked really hard this year but we were just not good enough,” said manager Billy Arnold. “We will need to look to improve over the offseason and be better next year.”
