Stub Brown Shuts Down St. Louis in 3-0 Victory
Magic was truly in the air at St. Louis Grounds today, as Stub Brown delivered a stellar performance, leading the Milwaukee Bucks to a 3-0 shutout victory over the St. Louis Sox. Brown went the distance, pitching a complete game with no strikeouts, 2 walks, and allowing just 4 hits.
"He just had us in his thrall," said St. Louis manager Frank Pearce. "We couldn't put anything together against him."
Brown's dominant outing silenced the Sox offense, and his performance was a key factor in the Bucks' victory. His composure and control on the mound kept the St. Louis hitters off balance, resulting in the shutout win.
Canavan Injury May End His Season
Jim Canavan of the Milwaukee Bucks may have played his last game of the season after suffering a strained shoulder in today's 3-0 win over the St. Louis Sox. The injury will keep him sidelined for approximately 5 weeks, which may effectively end his season, depending on his recovery.
This year, Canavan has been a solid contributor for the Bucks, hitting .273 with 6 home runs, 92 runs scored, and 59 RBIs. His absence will be a significant loss for Milwaukee as they head into the final stretch of the season.
