No fences here. This field sat in the middle of a track that had a slightly raised elevation. I figure the likelihood of a ball from 1871 rolling up and over the track would be fairly minimal. I also find it doubtful that an outfielder would be able to retrieve a ball hit to the track on the fly in time to prevent a runner from rounding the bases, so the track serves as the fence line.
